Draw me a sheep! / Dessine-moi un mouton!
the author of the novella The Little Prince.
In 1927, he arrived to Tarfaya
in the south of Morocco
that stands for Atlantic ocean and the Sahara desert
as a representative of the air postal company he worked for.
The desert, the stars, the sand dunes, and the search of the sheeps
as well as the wisdom of the desert people
are some of the elements that he received inspiration
and are written literally and poetically.
“When he lights his street lamp, it is as if he brought one more star to life, or one flower. When he puts out his lamp, he sends the flower, or the star, to sleep. That is a beautiful occupation. And since it is beautiful, it is truly useful.”
